After 19 years as Managing Director of Nemag, Michel Corbeau has officially handed over his role to Jelle Lanting. This carefully planned transition ensures continuity and builds on the strong foundation Nemag has established over the years.
A carefully planned transition
Jelle joined Nemag in August 2026 and spent his first two months getting to know the people, the organization, and its day-to-day operations before formally taking over the role.
For Jelle, this introduction period offered an opportunity to experience firsthand what makes Nemag unique: the combination of craftsmanship, innovation, and entrepreneurship. From its headquarters in Zierikzee, the company brings engineering, manufacturing, and office operations together under one roof.
Building on 19 years of leadership
Under Michel's leadership, Nemag has further strengthened its position as a technology-leading specialist in grabs for dry bulk handling. Together with the team, he has contributed to the company's development, with a continued focus on innovation, product performance, and long-term relationships with customers and partners around the world.
Although Michel is stepping down from his daily responsibilities, he will remain closely involved with Nemag as a supervisory board member, advisor, and shareholder. His knowledge and experience will therefore continue to support the company.
With Jelle as Managing Director, Nemag will continue to build on its established strengths. The focus remains on developing innovative solutions, investing in technical expertise, and helping customers improve the productivity and efficiency of their dry bulk handling operations.
