The Orange Peel grab has a cast-iron reputation in handling difficult to handle bulk materials
Orange peel grabs (also referred to as Cactus grabs or Polyp grabs) are the best solution for difficult to handle materials, like scrap metal or wood chips. All our Orange Peel grabs are made with the bulk material you want to handle in mind.
As with all our grabs, we want to keep your operations costs as low as possible that is why our Orange Peel grabs are made with the highest possible quality steel, such as Dillidur 400. The Orange peel grab’s closing rope guide can also be equipped with low friction cable guides, which will increase the lifespan of the closing cable immensely.
The Orange Peel grab has a lifting power ranging from 25 and upward. The volume range reaches more than 45 m3. Depending on the lifting power required, the Orange Peel grab is equipped with six or eight claws. The grapple is available, depending on the material it needs to process, with an open, half-open or closed claws. Also you can choose between six or eight claws. With its relative independently movable claws, the Orange Peel grab has excellent digging power.

Crane capacityIs the Safe Working Load of your crane in tons in grab duty, i.e. the total sum of grab dead weight and payload.
PayloadIs the nett load of cargo in the grab. Because it’s linked with the grab weight it will be filled in automatically.
Grab weightIs the Dead weight of your existing grab. Not sure? Check your grab manual, CE declaration, or on the ID plate on your grab.
Grab rope withdrawal lengthIs the length of the closing rope which needs to be pulled out in order to close the grab (not to confuse with the total reeved in grab rope length).
